Villa la Roca - A fusion of modern and typical Andalucian architecture

Located in the peaceful white village of Montecorto, 20 minutes from historic Ronda and 90 minutes from Malaga Airport, Villa La Roca is ideally situated to visit the southern Spanish cities of Malaga, Seville, Cadiz, Cordoba and Granada. There are many hiking trails in the nearby national parks and the area is popular for both road and mountain biking.

The house has three floors with a total living area of 2,500 sq ft and over 4,000 sq ft of gardens and terraces. The distribution by floors is as follows

Floor Layout

Upstairs

The entrance to Villa la Roca is on the upper floor, through a cobblestone path through a pine forest. On this floor there is a large open space with kitchen, dining room, toilet, reading corner and living area with fireplace and access to the terrace and garden.

The upper terrace is fully equipped with garden furniture; table, chairs, sun loungers and shade area. The views from the upper terrace to the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park are simply unforgettable.

Intermediate floor

Going down a flight of stairs, you access the middle floor where two of the three rooms in the house are located, the David Roberts Room and the Orange Room.

On this floor is located the Brown Bathroom, a full bathroom (with bathtub) shared between the two rooms.

Semi-low floor

The master bedroom, La Roca Room, is located on this floor, together with the Blue Bathroom. This room is the main room of the house and is completely integrated into the large rock on which the house is built, which makes this space one of the most spectacular of the house. The Blue Bathroom is a full bathroom connected to La Roca Room, which has a large shower area separated from the rest of the bathroom by a glass partition. La Roca Room has direct access to the garden and pool

First floor

On the lower floor, located at the level of Nacimiento street, the most beautiful street of Montecorto, is located the covered garage and the laundry room.

A large covered space where the washing machine, the drying area and a space for parking with an open door to the street are located.

Gardens

The gardens of Villa la Roca make the most of the beauty of the rock, using the free spaces for aromatic and decorative plants and cactus.

In the open space located at the foot of the rock, there is an intimate and sheltered area where the swimming pool is located and the lawn area equipped with a shower, sun loungers and a shaded area.

Exteriors

In the pine forest, 50m from the entrance of the house there is a public playground, with slides, castles and other elements. 100m from the house there is a soccer field with artificial grass and multi-sports court (tennis, indoor soccer, basketball and table tennis), totally free.

During the summer months the municipal swimming pool is open in the same area. 150m from the house, in the center of Montecorto, there are small stores and bars.

15 minutes by car there is a spectacular swimming area with running water of the Sierra de Grazalema, in addition to swimming and rowing areas enabled in the lake of Zahara, all in the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park.

Intimate corners for all tastes and for all times of the year. From the terrace you can watch romantic sunsets and the sharp outline of the highest peaks of the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park, a Unesco Biosphere Reserve.

Decorative lighting and outdoor furniture make the gardens, terraces and private pool area an extension of the house. Lying on the lawn or sitting on the terrace you can watch the stars, have dinner or simply let the time pass in conversation.

The private pool and the lawn is, without a doubt, the best place to spend the hot summer hours. The Shade of the Tree of Love is a perfect refuge for those who prefer to hide from the sun. In winter, on the other hand, there is little more comforting than to feel Europe's most southerly sun on your face.
